I’ve decided I’m tired of giving Etsy my money and that it’s time to move my shop elsewhere. I started thinking about closing my Etsy shop when I realized that there are other websites that charge a monthly flat fee to host a shop that ends up being cheaper than what my average monthly Etsy fees…

Clock made from a Recycled Bike Wheel

This clock was made from a recycled aluminum bike wheel. The wheel mounts directly to the wall through the hub using a hollow wall anchor and gives the illusion that it is floating off the wall. The clock movement is a high torque German quartz movement and is attached to a set of rear cassette gears to conceal the movement.

Guess what! I’m moving my shop over to Big Cartel! I love, love Etsy but with the fees I felt like I might have needed to raise prices to balance out the high bills every month. I’m going to miss Etsy but now that I don’t have to worry about a high bill each month, prices will remain the same.
I’m going to keep my etsy shop up for the time being while the listings are still paid for but no “new” listings will be added there. I’m really excited about it because it gives me more freedom with what I can do with my shop, good things are coming in 2012!
